What influenced your decision to do a banking internship?
I wanted to explore the different ways I could utilize my degree. What has been the most beneficial part of your internship? Gaining experience about what goes on behind the scenes at a bank as well as the relationships and connections I have built. What areas of banking did you focus on in your internship? Is this something you want to continue doing in the future? Most of my work was on the teller line, but I was able to spend days working with the loan side as well. I can definitely see myself pursuing a career in banking, especially on the lending side. How has this internship grown your interest in the banking career path? It exposed me to the many different career paths I could take if I wanted to pursue a career in banking. What is the most important thing you have learned through your internship? Be accountable, whether it's just showing up on time or following through with the commitments you make. People remember these things, and this shows who they can and can't count on. Do you think this internship will help you in your future? If so, how? Yes, it has given me the initial experience that I need in order to jumpstart a career in banking. What would you say to someone who is considering a banking internship? Do it!
