The NBA engages in ongoing anti-fraud efforts, including managing a statewide robbery reward program with Crime Stoppers. The NBA is also a participating member of the Thumbprint Signature Program and Elder Abuse Prevention awareness programs.
The NBA strives to help Nebraskans gain financial freedom through education and encourages bankers to provide financial education to their communities througout the year. Banks and bankers that participate in financial education events may be recognized at the annual NBA Convention.
Single Bank Pooled Collateral Program
Nebraska State statute requires Nebraska banks to pledge approved collateral for public entity deposits in excess of FDIC insured limits. The Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance (NDBF) has appointed the Nebraska Bankers Insurance and Services Company (NBISCO), the for-profit subsidiary of the Nebraska Bankers Association, to administer the Nebraska Single-Bank Pooled Collateral Program (SBPC) pursuant to Neb.Rev.Stat. Section 77-2398(2) (b) (ii).
