Vol. XXXVI, No. 4 Pregnant Workers Fairness Act - EEOC Final RuleThe Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) went into effect on June 27, 2023. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) recently issued implementing regulations under the PWFA. The EEOC final rule and interpretive guidance is effective June 18, 2024. The final rule outlines employers’ duties under the new law and provides clarity on pregnant workers’ rights and protections.
