Bank of Hartington | Hartington, opened an in-school savings bank at Hartington-Newcastle Elementary School.

Bank of the Valley | David City, celebrated 25 years of service to the David City community.

CharterWest Bank | Papillion, provided a donation match fund up to $6,000 for the Child Saving Institute (CSI) during Giving Tuesday. CSI seeks to champion children and families by providing the mental, emotional and physical spaces they need to feel empowered and thrive. (pictured)

First National Bank of Omaha | Omaha, has awarded $1,738,000 in Impact Grants to 90 organizations across Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, South Dakota, Wyoming and Texas. Nebraska organizations made up around half of the list and received over $1 million in grants.

MNB Bank | McCook, raised $1,510 through a bake sale and donated the proceeds to the Adopt-A-Chaplain program, which sends packages overseas to U.S. troops. (pictured)

Deaths

Mike Dusenbery (age 76) | Beatrice, passed away on Dec. 3. His banking career spanned over 40 years and included positions with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and various Nebraska banks, until his retirement in 2014. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. (pictured)
