Cornerstone Bank | Franklin, hosted a free, hands-on Counterfeit Money Training on May 11 at the Franklin City Office. Cornerstone Bank | Tilden, visited fifth-grade classes at Elkhorn Valley School in Tilden on April 28 for Teach Children to Save Day; representatives from the bank presented tips and tools for saving money, including a budgeting activity and the importance of protecting personal information. Farmers & Merchants Bank | Milligan and Generations Bank | Exeter, recently visited the elementary school in Milligan to give financial literacy presentations. First Community Bank | Fremont, gave a $1,000 to the Fremont Area Art Association for the "Bank on It" bonus for most dollars raised between 4:00-6:00 a.m. during the Fremont Area Community Foundation Big Give Day on May 10. First National Bank of Omaha | Fremont, recently donated $15,000 to the Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity to help fund the construction of new homes in 2022. Phase 2 includes installing a drop-off/pick-up drive through lane and an easily-accessible handicap parking lot. Lincoln Federal Savings Bank | Omaha, recently celebrated 25 years of serving the Omaha community - the first branch in Omaha opened in 1997. Nebraska Bank | Alliance, Chadron, Hemingford and Hickman, recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to one graduating senior from each location's local school. NebraskaLand Bank | Kearney, hosted a Comm(unity) Shred Day on May 10, with a freewill donation for the University of Nebraska-Kearney (UNK) football team; members of the team helped during the event. The bank contributed $500 toward the total of $871 raised for UNK football.
