Jason Carnahan, Security First Bank | Chadron, celebrated 20 years of service with the bank. He is the branch president.

Dustin Chester, Nebraska Bank | Alliance, and Sean Ridgeway, FNBO | Alliance, were nominated for the Snow-Redfern Foundation (SRF) executive committee for 2024 as treasurer and secretary, respectively. The SRF provides funding support to a system of care partners who serve youth across Nebraska.

Amy Keltner, United Republic Bank | Elkhorn, celebrated her fifth anniversary with the bank.

Carrie Swanson, F&M Bank | West Point, celebrated 10 years with the bank.

Banks in the News

F&M Bank | Falls City, raised $1,700 in December through the bank's Casual for a Cause staff fundraiser. The proceeds were split among three local organizations: Meals on Wheels, Richardson County Humane Society and the Seneca Food Bank.

First Bank and Trust Co. | Minden, donated $500 to the Minden Opera House to help fund an updated hearing loop system. The donation was part of the FHLB's #500 For Good program. (pictured)

First State Bank | Randolph, opened an in-school savings bank at Randolph Elementary School.

Platte Valley Bank | Bridgeport, donated over $4,000 to the Broadwater volunteer fire department.

Security First Bank | Beatrice, helped sponsor the Cow Clinic hosted by Nebraska Extension on Jan. 9 in Beatrice.

Janelle Gilpin, Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust | Norfolk, retired after 22 years with the bank. (pictured)

Denny Johnson, Cornerstone Bank | York, retired after 10 years with the bank. The bank held an open house on Jan. 5 to celebrate.

Norma Kissack, First State Bank Nebraska | Lincoln, retired after a 47-year career in banking. During 11 of those years, she served as the First State Bank Nebraska's mortgage underwriter.

Randy Lock, RVR Bank | Blair, retired after 33 years with the bank. The bank held a farewell reception on Jan. 4 to celebrate his long career.

Marc Morehead, Frontier Bank | Falls City, retired at the end of 2023 after 30 years with the bank, which was formerly Richardson County Bank & Trust. Marc's father, the late John Morehead, started the bank in 1957, and the family was part of the bank for 66 years. (pictured)
