Bankers in the News

Sally Christensen, fnbo | Omaha, was elected to the 2024 Habitat for Humanity of Omaha's board of directors. She is a senior director of public relations.

Laurie Corey, Security First Bank | Beatrice, celebrated her 25th anniversary with the bank. She is a customer service representative.

John Daubert, Security First Bank | Lincoln, celebrated 25 years with the bank. He is the president of the bank.

Chad Hammer, Midwest Bank | York, celebrated his 15th anniversary with the bank. He is an executive vice president and senior loan officer.

Jaclyn Kolb, Security First Bank | Beatrice, celebrated 10 years with the bank. She is a loan processing specialist.

Denise Kreikemeier, F&M Bank | West Point, celebrated her 25th anniversary with the bank. She is a vice president of operations.

Betty Nickel, First State Bank Nebraska | Western, celebrated 25 years with the bank. She is a customer service representative.

Rebecca Pierce, Riverstone Bank | Scottsbluff, received the Scottsbluff-Gering United Chamber of Commerce "Visionary Super Star Award" for sharing her time, talent and resources for the betterment of the community. The award is presented to a Chamber member who has been in business for six or more years. She is the director of marketing at the bank.

Jodi Rauert, fnbo | Grand Island, was named to the CHI Health Foundation's board of directors. She is a financial advisor at the bank.

Banks in the News

Core Bank | Omaha, participated in the Special Olympics Nebraska's Polar Plunge on Feb. 10. The Core Bank team involved over 50 people and raised a total of $26,045 for the Special Olympics. The event raised a grand total over $242,000. (pictured)

Horizon Bank | Springfield, received the "Friend of the Firefighter" award from the Springfield Fire Department.

Nebraska State Bank & Trust Co. | Callaway, covered the cost of groceries for the Callaway Booster Club's "Burger Bash" and allowed bank staff volunteer time to help during the event. The Bash raised over $3,000 to help support student activities in the Callaway community.

NebraskaLand Bank | all branches, donated a total of $16,500 to seven organizations across the communities the bank serves as part of the bank's "My Fair Share" program. Bank employees nominate and contribute to the organizations; the bank honored McKenna's Rae of Hope, Kearney Area Animal Shelter, Bridge of Hope Child Advocacy Center, Fur Animal Rescue, North Platte Habitat for Humanity, Debra's Legacy and Hospice of Sweetwater County at a special breakfast on Feb. 7 in Kearney.

Platte Valley Bank | Bridgeport, donated $100,000 to toward the replacement of multiple buildings at the Morrill County fairgrounds.

Riverstone Bank | Scottsbluff, hosted a "casino night" fundraiser for the Golden Halo Foundation on Feb. 10 in Scottsbluff. The Golden Halo Foundation provides financial assistance, in the way of grants, to help those children with medical conditions that require specialized care.

Retirements

Gene Oxley, Cornerstone Bank | York, retired after 47 years of service to the York community, with the last 17 years at Cornerstone Bank. The bank held an open house on Feb. 9 to celebrate.

Deaths

Deb Schultz (age 68) | Bruning, passed away on Feb. 3. She had worked at Bruning Bank for over 26 years, starting as a customer service representative and later moving into auditing and accounting. (pictured)
