Banks in the News

Bank of Dixon County | Ponca, donated $2,500 to the Better Ponca Foundation to help fund the purchase of new computers at the Ponca Carnegie Library.

Horizon Bank | McCook, sponsored a Red Cross blood drive at the Community Building in McCook on Feb. 27-28.

fnbo | Alliance, and other local businesses helped sponsor a concert on Feb. 24 with the Alliance Arts Council. The performance was a Minnesota-based 1950s tribute band, the Holy Rocka Rollaz.

Midwest Bank | Lincoln, opened a new branch at 7001 Pioneers Blvd, Suite A, in Lincoln this week. The bank planned a grand opening celebration from Feb. 26 to March 1 and includes a $500 Hy-Vee gift card grand prize giveaway and other prizes. (pictured)

Deaths

Bruce Lauritzen (age 80) | Omaha, passed away on Feb. 21. He was the chairman of First National Bank of Omaha (fnbo), with a career of over 55 years. Under his leadership, the bank experienced the expansion to six new states and the construction of the fnbo Business Park and the First National Tower in Omaha. (pictured)
