January 9 - National Day of Mourning
Regulations Z and CC

President Biden has declared January 9, 2025, a National Day of Mourning in honor of the passing of President Jimmy Carter. For purposes of Regulations Z and CC, including counting days for closing disclosures and right of rescission, National Day of Mourning will not impact the definition of "business day." Therefore, banks should count this day as they normally would for the time requirements under the regulations.
