Angela Finn, First Bank and Trust Co. | Minden, celebrates her 25th anniversary with the bank in October. She is a senior vice president and cashier.

Frank Kment, RVR Bank | Fremont, was recognized as Commissioner of the Year by the Nebraska Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials during the organization’s state conference on Sept. 10. He is a vice president of lending with the bank. The award honors a current commissioner who has demonstrated excellence in advocating for and developing the financial, political and community support necessary to ensure the continuation and expansion of housing or community development programs.

Mihaela Kobjerowski, FNBO | Omaha, was named one of American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking: Women to Watch. She is an executive vice president and chief credit officer with the bank.

Timothy Wobken, Scribner Bank | Scribner, was named to the Fremont Area Community Foundation board of directors. He is a vice president and ag representative with the bank.

Adams Bank & Trust | Grant, opened an in-school savings bank at Perkins County Schools last week.

Bank of the Valley, Columbus Bank & Trust Co., First Nebraska Bank, and Great Plains State Bank | Columbus, partnered with other local financial institutions to purchase the mortgages on houses built through Habitat for Humanity of Columbus. The funds go directly back to Habitat to begin building the next house in partnership with Lakeview Community Schools.

Cornerstone Bank | Polk, hosted a Fraud Prevention Seminar at the Polk Senior Center on Sept. 29.

FirsTier Bank | Elm Creek, opened an in-school savings bank at Elm Creek Elementary School.

NebraskaLand Bank | Kearney, and other local businesses helped sponsor the 2025 Kearney Hub Inspire Awards celebration last week in Kearney. The awards honored eight outstanding women in the community.
