Bruning Bank | Bruning, and other local businesses helped sponsor the South-Central Cattle Women and Nebraska Extension’s Livestock Ag-Venture program on Sept. 8 in Geneva. The educational event aimed to help youth understand the importance of agriculture and how their food reaches the table.

Cornerstone Bank | Sutton, donated a new scoreboard to Sutton Public Schools’ football field, which was used for the first time last week during the Sutton vs. Thayer Central game.

Sheryl Kruger (age 73) | Pierce, passed away on Sept. 13. She began working at Cones State Bank, now Midwest Bank, following her high school graduation in 1970 until her retirement in 2018.
