Rebecca Pierce, Riverstone Bank | Scottsbluff, received the Scottsbluff-Gering United Chamber of Commerce "Visionary Super Star Award" for sharing her time, talent and resources for the betterment of the community. The award is presented to a Chamber member who has been in business for six or more years. She is the director of marketing at the bank. Jodi Rauert, fnbo | Grand Island, was named to the CHI Health Foundation's board of directors. She is a financial advisor at the bank. Banks in the NewsCore Bank | Omaha, participated in the Special Olympics Nebraska's Polar Plunge on Feb. 10. The Core Bank team involved over 50 people and raised a total of $26,045 for the Special Olympics. The event raised a grand total over $242,000. (pictured) Horizon Bank | Springfield, received the "Friend of the Firefighter" award from the Springfield Fire Department. Nebraska State Bank & Trust Co. | Callaway, covered the cost of groceries for the Callaway Booster Club's "Burger Bash" and allowed bank staff volunteer time to help during the event. The Bash raised over $3,000 to help support student activities in the Callaway community. NebraskaLand Bank | all branches, donated a total of $16,500 to seven organizations across the communities the bank serves as part of the bank's "My Fair Share" program. Bank employees nominate and contribute to the organizations; the bank honored McKenna's Rae of Hope, Kearney Area Animal Shelter, Bridge of Hope Child Advocacy Center, Fur Animal Rescue, North Platte Habitat for Humanity, Debra's Legacy and Hospice of Sweetwater County at a special breakfast on Feb. 7 in Kearney. Platte Valley Bank | Bridgeport, donated $100,000 to toward the replacement of multiple buildings at the Morrill County fairgrounds. Riverstone Bank | Scottsbluff, hosted a "casino night" fundraiser for the Golden Halo Foundation on Feb. 10 in Scottsbluff. He is a 20-year Navy veteran who served as a pilot on the USS Constellation with more than 200 carrier landings.
