Gary Arehart, Bank of Elgin | Elgin, was elected to the Antelope County Historical Society board of directors. He currently serves as the president and CEO of the bank.

Matt Jones, F&M Bank | Wayne, celebrated 10 years with the bank. He is the market president.

James Lenners, First State Bank Nebraska | Pickrell, celebrated his 10th anniversary with the bank. He is a vice president/loan officer and an insurance agent.

Kelly Lenners, First State Bank Nebraska | Pickrell, celebrated 10 years with the bank. She serves as regional president/loan officer.

Jerry Lentfer, First State Bank Nebraska | Lincoln, celebrated his 20th anniversary with the bank. He is the CEO.

Banks in the News

Cornerstone Bank, Shelton, opened an in-schools savings bank at Shelton Elementary on Nov. 14.

Generations Bank | Friend, opened an in-school savings bank at Friend Public Schools.

Nebraska State Bank | Bristow, celebrated its 100th anniversary of service to the community. The bank celebrated with a customer appreciation event on Nov. 16.

Thayer County Bank | Hebron, celebrated its 150th anniversary of service. The bank was founded in 1874.

Tri-County Bank | O’Neill, sponsored lunch for attendees at the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition’s farm and ranch succession planning workshop in O’Neill on Nov. 12. Another workshop was also held in Hartington on Nov. 13. Additionally, the bank provided lunch for attendees at Nebraska Extension’s risk management workshop in O’Neill on Nov. 19.

WCB | Blair, donated $5,200 to the Washington County Community Foundation as part of the bank’s “Mortgage that Gives Back” program. The Foundation will distribute the funds among 31 local nonprofits. In 2024, the program as a whole raised $10,000, with 11 nonprofits in Burt County and 21 nonprofits in Harrison County also receiving funds.
