The 10-month program focuses on improving Lincoln County through developing networking skills, gaining community awareness, enhancing community involvement and observing leadership styles.

Banks in the News

Brunswick State Bank | Winnetoon, and other local businesses helped sponsor the Verdigre Niobrara Valley Sportsmen (VNVS) banquet last month. The event was a fundraiser for local initiatives, with the VNVS donating funds to the Verdigre and Niobrara fire and rescue, the Verdigre Garden Club and Knox County 4-H Shooting Sports.

Deaths

Donald “Gene” Belsky (age 94) | Merriman, passed away on May 12. Prior to his retirement in 2012, he served the banking industry for 50 years, including positions with Anchor Bank, Bank of Cody, Gordon State Bank/Community First and Stockmen Bank/Security First Bank, He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army and received the Korean Government Medal of Ambassador for Peace.
