Taylor Oltjenbruns, Midwest Bank | Pierce, celebrated his fifth anniversary with the bank. He is the market president.

Karmen Palmer, Security First Bank | Rushville, celebrated 35 years with the bank. She is a loan officer.

Kathy Warneke, Midwest Bank | Pierce, celebrated her 20th anniversary with the bank. She is a vice president/data processing manager in the operations department.

Banks in the News

Bankers Trust | Omaha, celebrated the grand opening of its first full-service location at 19202 Davenport Street in Elkhorn on March 5. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks by bank leaders and officials from the Greater Omaha Chamber and West O Chamber.

Dayspring Bank | Wallace, opened an in-school savings bank at Wallace Public School on Feb. 26.

Equitable Bank | Grand Island, sponsored the American Red Cross chili cookoff on March 8. The bank also competed in the cookoff and won first place for the team’s buffalo chicken chili. The event was a fundraiser for the American Red Cross.

First Interstate Bank | Broken Bow, donated $10,000 to the Custer County Foundation to help local departments offset the costs of battling recent fires dubbed the “Custer County Complex Fires.”

Heartland Bank and Pathway Bank | Burwell, helped sponsor a succession and estate planning workshop for farmers and ranchers on Feb. 27 in Burwell. The event covered legal, financial and communication issues in succession planning.
