Doris Burke, First Central Bank McCook | McCook, received the Curtis Citizen of the Year award for her dedication to volunteerism in Curtis (over 270 hours) and service on three different boards in the community.

Ryan Conner, Midwest Bank | Lincoln, celebrated 10 years with the bank. He is an assistant vice president/information systems technician.

Kelly Downer, Platte Valley Bank | Scottsbluff, received the local “Business and Professional Women” chapter’s Woman of the Year award. She is a senior vice president at the bank.

Banks in the News

Bruning Bank | Broken Bow, celebrated 20 years of service to the community. The bank held an open house and lunch on June 6 to celebrate.

FirsTier Bank and Points West Community Bank | Kimball, were hole sponsors for the Kimball High School Athletics Red & White Golf Tournament on June 7. Additionally, FirsTier Bank and other local businesses donated toward the student activities fund. The event raised $45,000 to directly support student athletes and programs at Kimball High School.

MNB Bank | Doniphan, and other local businesses helped sponsor the Doniphan Diabetes Dash 5K, 1-Mile and Virtual 5K run/walk on June 14. The event was a fundraiser for CHI St. Francis in Grand Island, CHI Good Samaritan in Kearney, Camp Floyd Rogers in Cozad and the Children’s Diabetic Foundation.
