Bank of Hartington | Hartington, sponsored free admission for a pool party at Niobrara State Park on July 19 as part of Niobrara Bridge Days.

Core Bank | Omaha, donated $5,000 to New Visions Homeless Services (NVHS) through the bank’s Community Impact Award. The grant will help NVHS enhance and strengthen its employment and education program, which offers resources for job- and life-skills training and access to computers for individuals seeking employment. Dayspring Bank and Flatwater Bank | Gothenburg, and other local businesses were corporate sponsors for the Adrian Fiala Memorial TeamMates Golf Tournament on July 20. The event was a fundraiser for Gothenburg’s TeamMates Mentoring chapter.

First Interstate Bank | Omaha, donated $25,000 to the Heart Ministry Center in north Omaha. The Center provides food and healthcare to those affected by poverty.

First State Bank Nebraska | Lincoln, received an Above and Beyond Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for providing additional, non-mandated benefits to National Guard members on assignment. (pictured)

Deaths

John Peck (age 87) | Columbus, passed away on July 16. He was a former CEO and chairman of the board of First National Bank of Omaha in Columbus. Additionally, he was an active member of the NBA by volunteering on various committees throughout his career.
