Terry Anstine, Five Points Bank of Hastings | Grand Island, competed in the Celebrity Swine Show at the Adams County Fairfest on July 16. Each “celebrity” exhibitor teamed up with a 4-H swine show participant, working together to vie for the celebrity grand champion award. He is the president of the bank.

Bank of Hartington | Niobrara, sponsored a pool party for youth on July 18 as part of the Niobrara Bridge Days/Niobrara High School Alumni Weekend celebration on July 18-20.

Farmers & Merchants Bank | Wilbur, and other local businesses helped sponsor a recent American Red Cross blood drive in Wilbur.

Farmers & Merchants State Bank | Niobrara, and another local business helped sponsor inflatable play areas on July 19 as part of Niobrara Bridge Days.

Five Points Bank | Grand Island, pledged $50,000 toward the Lighthouse Apartments, a new Hope Harbor project that will provide affordable housing for Grand Island residents who need it most.

Retirements

Leo Schumacher, Lincoln Federal Savings Bank | Lincoln, retired on July 11 after over 35 years with the bank. He most recently was the president and CEO of the bank and will continue serving as a member of the bank’s board of directors.

Joleen Stoller, First Interstate Bank | Falls City, is retiring by the end of July after 49 years with the bank. The bank will host an open house on July 25 to celebrate.
