Dayspring Bank | Omaha, opened an in-school savings bank at Karen Western Elementary School in Omaha on Feb. 7.

Dayspring Bank and Flatwater Bank | Gothenburg, and other local businesses helped sponsor the Gothenburg Health Foundation’s Ag Health & Safety event on Feb. 4. The event emphasized the importance of protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of women and men in agriculture.

Deaths

Gary Baker (age 85) | Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on Jan. 29. He had previously worked in various Nebraska communities, including as vice president at First Nebraska Bank in Stanton. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Glenn Rauert (age 79) | Aurora, passed away on Feb. 8. He had previously worked at Heritage Bank in Aurora for 32 years and was a U.S. Army veteran.
