Banks in the News

Citizens State Bank | Newman Grove, donated $500 to the Newman Grove Food Pantry.
 
F&M Bank | Falls City, donated $1,000 to SENCA and $500 to the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office for “Stuff the Cruiser,” with funds raised by employees during the bank’s Casual for a Cause jeans days.
 
First Bank and Trust Co. | Minden, donated a total of $6,500 spread across 13 local fire departments, libraries and youth ball programs as part of the bank’s annual giving initiative. Additionally, the bank sponsored three local FFA students’ attendance at the NBA’s Ag & Beyond Workshop in Kearney on Dec. 9.
 
Horizon Bank | McCook, donated $3,000 to the Elizabeth Project, a local trap-spay/neuter-release program to help manage the stray cat population and educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
 
i3 Bank | Ashland, held a donation drive among bank employees and community members to help cover the lunch fund deficit at Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools. The total donation to the school was $3,863.
 
Waypoint Bank | Clay Center, donated a total of $1,000 to three local organizations: Clay County Giving Tree, Clay County Food Pantry and the Sandy Creek Beef Boosters.

  • Riley Larson, Cornerstone Bank | Aurora, Hampton and Marquette, vice president and manager
  • Ethan Nelsen, Cornerstone Bank | Central City, assistant vice president/correspondent lending

Retirements

Diane Bousquet, F&M Bank | South Sioux City, retired after 28 years with the bank.
 
Steve Schindler, Midwest Bank | Creighton, retired after 36 years with the bank. He was a vice president/loan officer.
 
Dan Walker, Lincoln Federal Savings Bank | Lincoln, retired on Jan. 2 after a 42-year career in banking, with the last 14 at Lincoln Federal Savings Bank. He was the bank’s chief lending officer and will continue to serve on the bank’s board of directors.
