Banks in the News

CharterWest Bank | West Point, celebrated 40 years of service to the community earlier this month. The bank hosted a pancake feed on Aug. 8 to celebrate.

F&M Bank, First Interstate Bank and Frontier Bank | Falls City, donated funds to purchase an AED for use in Dallas Jones Park in Falls City. The banks issued a challenge to the community to raise additional funds for additional AED purchase for the other three parks in town.

First Interstate Bank | Holdrege, sponsored the Aug. 14 performance by ARKAI, an award-winning electro-acoustic duo, as the opening to the local theatre’s 2025-2026 season.

NebraskaLand Bank | North Platte, and other local businesses helped sponsor the Music on the Bricks festival on Aug. 8-9 in North Platte.

Potter State Bank | Potter, and other local businesses helped sponsor the Potter Volunteer Fire Department’s Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 9. Proceeds from the event will be put toward the completion of the training facility near Potter and the purchase of a battery-operated Jaws of Life.

Deaths

Janice Novak (age 80) | Verdigre, passed away on Aug. 9. She had previously worked at Brunswick State Bank in Winnetoon.

Dale Rigby (age 85) | Crete, passed away on Aug. 12. He previously worked at City Bank & Trust Co. and Nebraska State Bank. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
