First National Bank of Omaha | Fremont, was the event sponsor for the Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity's "Habitat Homecoming" fundraising event on April 22. The celebration marked the organization's 30th anniversary in the Fremont community.

Security Bank | Hartington, broke ground last week on a new 6,000-square-foot branch at 313 S. Robinson Avenue in Hartington that will include a vaulted lobby, drive-through, 10 offices, a conference room and space for future expansion. The estimated completion date for this project is late summer 2024; once complete, the current downtown branch will be relocated to the new facility. (pictured)

John Barry (age 81) | Valparaiso, passed away on April 8. He had previously served as president/CEO of Oak Creek Valley Bank/Jones Bank in Valparaiso. In 2011, he received the NBA Milestone Banker Award for 50 years of service to the industry. (pictured)

Cornhusker Bank | Lincoln, hosted its 13th annual "Day Without Shoes" campaign by collecting shoes for impoverished and homeless people. The bank partnered with People's City Mission for a shoeless walk along O Street in Lincoln on April 5.

Platte Valley Bank | Scottsbluff, provided a $500 cash prize each to three raffle winners as part of the 2022-23 Campaign Raffle for Cash drawing from the local United Way.

Waypoint Bank | Eustis, hosted an Easter egg hunt on April 8 for children age 10 and under.

William Smith (age 89) | Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on March 20. Cornerstone Bank | York, hosted a public Fraud Prevention Seminar on March 29. Keynote speakers were Kathy Jensen, a BSA/AML/OFAC officer at the bank, and Sergeant Alex Hildebrand, criminal investigator with the York County Sheriff's Department.

First National Bank of Omaha | Scottsbluff, is helping sponsor the 38th Visionaries Student Art Show at the West Nebraska Arts Center. The show will be open from April 1-30; additional supporters include the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and the National Endowment for the Arts.
