Banks in the NewsAdams Bank & Trust | Chappell, recently donated $2,500 to the Chappell Community Development's new dock project at Chappell Lake. Cattle National Bank | Lincoln and Seward, recently sponsored the GFWC Seward Club and GFWC Seward Junior Women's Club annual short story and poetry contests for children ages kindergarten through grade 12. The bank presented commemorative coins to the winners in each category. CharterWest Bank | Omaha, was recently ranked third in the Companies with 25 to 200 Employees category of Baird Holm, LLP and the Greater Omaha Chamber's "Best Places to Work in Omaha" survey for 2022. The survey provides a way to publicly recognize and celebrate local employers who foster an engaged work environment and culture dedicated to organizational success. All of the winners will be recognized at a luncheon on May 26. F&M Bank | Wayne, hosted an ag appreciation open house at the bank on March 25 to celebrate area ag producers during National Ag Week (March 20-26). F&M Bank | West Point, sponsored free pie at the West Point Livestock Auction cafe on March 24 in celebration of National Ag Week. First National Bank of Omaha | Omaha, is sponsoring the Nebraska FFA Launch! Program for the fifth year with a $12,000 donation. The funds will support the year-long program that serves as a catalyst for entrepreneurship-based education for Nebraska FFA members and agricultural education students. The bank also plans to donate $20,500 to local FFA chapters in Nebraska, Illinois, South Dakota, Kansas and Wyoming. Five Points Bank | Elkhorn, recently opened a new branch at 1303 N 205th Street in Elkhorn. (pictured) Flatwater Bank | Gothenburg, staff volunteered at the Gothenburg Community Playhouse / Sun Theatre this past weekend. i3 Bank | Bennington, recognized those in the community with Down Syndrome by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21. The date is symbolic because individuals with Down Syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosome. She ends her banking career as a vice president at the bank. An open house to celebrate her retirement is planned for March 31. Deaths Karen Frazier | Lincoln (age 79), passed away on Feb. 24. New Format for Banks & Bankers Following the launch of our new website on March 21, 2022, Banks & Bankers will be posted digitally in this format - a change from the former method of sharing the newsletter via PDF. A link to Banks & Bankers will be included in the weekly E-Update email on Wednesdays; the format for the weekly email will be updated to stay consistent with the website redesign. As the newsletter is published each week, the Archives section along the right-hand sidebar will update automatically and group the posts by month. The links below are for each of the weekly Banks & Bankers newsletters that have been published via PDF since Jan. 1, 2022. They are arranged by date published.
