Andrew Krab, Adams Bank & Trust | Ogallala, received the 2025 Tim Koch Award for Excellence in Banking from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC). The award recognizes a GSBC Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers® graduate who has made significant contributions to their community, their bank’s stakeholders and the broader banking industry.

Nichole Runge, Midwest Bank | York, celebrated 10 years with the bank. She is a personal banker.

Banks in the News

Adams Bank & Trust | Ogallala, and other local businesses helped sponsor the opening race event for the Wild West Soap Box Derby on April 26.

Cornhusker Bank | Lincoln, coordinated its annual Day Without Shoes campaign and raised $18,000 and collected 63,000 shoes from community donations to benefit the People’s City Mission.

i3 Bank | all branches, raised $500 through its employee “jeans Fridays” fundraiser and donated the funds to Lighthouse, a program that offers academic support, meals and enrichment/recreational activities during non-school hours for middle and high school students in Lincoln.

Lincoln Federal Savings Bank | Omaha, held a grand opening and ribbon cutting on April 24 for a new branch at 15858 West Dodge Road in Omaha.

RVR Bank | Fremont, and other local businesses helped sponsor the “Take Back the Night” event on April 17 as a fundraiser for The Bridge From Violence nonprofit in Fremont. The Bridge provides support, safety and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Retirements

Leland Spanjer, Homestead Bank | Cozad, will retire at the end of May after 59 years with the bank. He is the chairman of the bank.
