National Ag Week
March 20-26, 2011

Information about 2011's celebration
will be forthcoming!

In 2008, Nebraska’s commercial banks loaned nearly $7.7 billion to finance ag production and real estate.  National Ag Day and National Ag Week provide you with a great opportunity to educate students in your area about agriculture and the business side of ag production, setting the stage for an understanding public of the future.  These national celebrations are also the perfect time to recognize your ag customers.

Nebraska Agriculture Fact Cards are again being provided to you at no cost by the Nebraska Bankers Association.  The cards are updated each year for National Agriculture Week and National Ag Day.  Ag Fact Cards can be placed in bank statements, distributed at teller stations, used as classroom handouts, and may be reprinted in bank newsletters.  Put a card at every place setting at community or farmer appreciation events such as a breakfast or dinner.  In addition, you may order Ag Week Placemats from the NBA at no cost to use in your bank or community Ag Week events.  The placemats include ag facts and fun games for kids of all ages.  In addition, all member banks will receive a camera-ready ad for use during National Ag Week that can be personalized by adding your bank logo.

To ensure delivery by 2010 National Ag Week, please order your free Nebraska Ag Fact Cards and/or Ag Week Placemats by Friday, Feb. 26, 2010.  Just complete the ORDER FORM and mail, e-mail, or fax it to the NBA.  We will mail your cards and placemats as soon as we receive them from the printers.

You will find valuable information about National Ag Day at www.agday.org.  Educational kits as well as posters commemorating National Ag Day are available from the Ag Council of America at 913-491-1895 or e-mail info@agday.org.
